Guidance from the I Ching: #1-Creative Power
Creative power brings exceptional progress.
“Creative power brings exceptional progress. There is an advantage in correct persistence. The movement of the cosmos is in complete power. An enlightened person, therefore, works steadily to exert his will.”
I consult the I Ching (Book Of Changes) at the start of every week for inspiration and to set the tone for myself and the people I interact with. This week’s message from the I Ching is all about rebirth. This hexagram symbolizes the time for the things to begin anew.
The time of Creative Power is the time to take inspired action on your crucial goals. The I Ching calls this a “time of significant importance.” You have the power to fuel yourself and others in the successful pursuit of goals that can benefit humanity, so use this power wisely.
Leaders are encouraged to step up boldly and be the example that others need to grow towards their higher selves. If you can bring the things that matter most to you into alignment with others’ needs, you can help create peace and order, the two things that have been missing most in our current world. Now is the time to aim your creative energies towards ways to help others find success and happiness.
But there is a warning. If you want to make the most of this time, you must not be distracted by trivial events and unproductive activities. Keep your eye on the prize. Your success now can set you up for bigger and better things, so don’t squander your resources. To be successful, you must know when to be still and when to pounce on an opportunity. Don’t rush into things, but when the time is right, act without hesitation. The I Ching says that “success is imminent and will not be held off,” so don’t lose sight of the importance of your inner development. With all of the opportunity for action, make sure you take time to keep learning, keep preparing and keep dreaming big. And never lose sight of your core values. Don’t sell your soul for the success you desire.
Now is the time to create a better world for yourself and others. What will your new world look like? Are you ready to take action?
“If you want to make the most of this time, you must not be distracted by trivial events and unproductive activities. Keep your eye on the prize. “
